Personal Intake
|
Here’s where we get an idea of what makes you you. Since the entire purpose of your essays is to reveal your individuality in a unique way, the more information we have about your personal and academic background, the easier it will be to help you stand out from the masses. MAP will: - Evaluate any existing personal statements you have or essay topics you’re considering, as well as review your best writing samples so we can elevate your college essays to the next level.
- Have you fill out a quick and simple Individuality Profile, which includes your extra-curricular activities, work experience, hobbies, interests, grades, test scores, and personal background. This way we can help you highlight your best qualities.

Focused Free Writing
|
You write your first draft with your heart, your second with your head. This is MAP’s guiding principle when it comes to crafting exceptional college essays. This step often involves little work if you thoroughly completed the Personal Intake step. MAP will: - Give specific suggestions for what to write about based on your Personal Intake. The amount of topics you need to write about depends on how many original essays your College Admissions Guide has determined you require. You first want to get the raw thoughts, feelings, and ideas out in a stream-of-consciousness explosion of words. This will help get to the core of your individuality.
- Provide a kick in the right direction if you’re having trouble expressing yourself.

Outlining for Success
|
Whether you already have some essay possibilities in mind or have now completed your Focused Free Writing, MAP will sift through your ideas for common themes and innovative essay concepts that transcend the cliché and grab the admissions board’s attention. MAP will: - Develop specific outlines with you for each essay, providing clear suggestions before you start writing.
- Refine your outlines if you decide you would like to change your approach.

|
Now that you already know what you want to say and how you want to say it, it’s time to start writing. As you can see, once you’ve organized yourself clearly and given some thought to the process, the writing phase is quick and simple. MAP will: - Edit back and forth with you, as many times as needed, providing detailed feedback and making certain changes to enhance your own voice.
- Allow you to work at your own speed and at your own convenience; once you have edited a draft, MAP will quickly reply, often within a couple of hours.
- Organize all your essay drafts by school through an easy-to-use interface.
- Chart each essay’s progression through the editing process until you have perfectly polished prose ready to be submitted.
